It was discovered that the threat alert was a hoax.
The flight left Mumbai around two in the morning and arrived back in Mumbai around 10.25 in the morning. The journey from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport on flight AI-119 takes approximately 15 hours. The airline reported, “The flight landed safely back in Mumbai at 1025 Hrs (local time).” “Air India is fully cooperating with the authorities and the aircraft is undergoing mandatory security checks. All passengers have been provided with hotel accommodations, meals, and other assistance up until the rescheduled flight on March 11, 2025, at 0500 hrs.
