ISLAMABAD: Netizens have been warned that hackers have emerged as active in stealing cryptocurrency wallet facts with the assist of malware, The News stated on Thursday.
A virus named Leuma Stellar should steal login, browser statistics, and cryptocurrency wallet facts that may then be offered on hacking boards.
The Pakistan Cyber Emergency Response Team, below the Cabinet Division, has issued an advisory, saying that the virus is spreading through the use of faux bot detection device pictures in PDF documents. A big-scale phishing marketing campaign has been recognized via the bot detection machine.
According to the advisory, attackers pressure users to download malicious PDFs by means of editing search engines like Google and yahoo. Images of a fraudulent bot detection machine are protected inside the PDF files. Clicking on the photographs redirects customers to phishing websites.
